He was premature and the tat represents him being a beautiful but fragile human being both inside and out and that he should be handled with care. Later on this tattoo had meaning to me as well because my best friend (who committed suicide) gave me a necklace that was a white gold heart and on the back he engraved “Beautiful but Fragile” as his description of me.
